GKN Aerospace CEO Oliver Oyle recently held a press conference to address the criticism and controversies the company has faced in the wake of the recent chemical leak in Garden Grove, CA, which has led to the evacuation of 50,000 residents in Orange County and surrounding areas.
“I first wanted to extend my deepest apologies to all of those affected. The evacuation orders included parts of Anaheim which negatively impacted all of the lovely Disneylandgoing families,” Oyle said. “Rest assured, GKN is taking full responsibility for the cleanup and contingency plans to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again.”
Oyle outlined the cleanup process. “We will be sucking up the chemical leak using special high-powered chemical-trebuchet which will collect and then precisionlaunch all of the chemical waste back into areas of Riverside County and San Joaquin County. The people there will be able to handle it due to all of the other struggles they have faced.”
Oyle also announced that GKN Aerospace would be closing and relocating its San Diego facility. “In light of the potential dangers, we don’t want to risk any danger that could reach the residents of La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, Coronado, and Santee. Instead we will be moving the facilities to Bakersfield. “They are a resourceful and hardy people those [Bakersfieldians],” explained Oyle. “It sucks, but someone needs to bear the brunt of pollution.
