Defense contractor RTX, better known by its former name Raytheon, released a statement affirming its support for the “LGB” community. In a “watershed” decision signaling “[their] commitment to including people from all creeds and sexualities,” they stated they intend to “fully fund and sponsor pride festivities held in San Francisco, New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles.” RTX will contribute, amongst other items: “MQ-9 Reaper drones, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, and balloons.”
Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) addressed the company’s policy shift, stating: “This is an absolute positive in a world beset by bigotry and hatred. Raytheon can count on continued Democratic Party support for any defense expenditure bill which benefits them in the near future.”
Christopher Calio, CEO of RTX Corporation, stated: “Our commitment to the sexually deviant knows no bounds, particularly if it offers us leverage in the violent political tango we dance to maintain continued dominance over our competitors.” Calio added, “We are firm in our commitment to the systematic elimination of America’s enemies, as we uphold our own pride in crafting the most brutal, lethal, soulless weapons systems which we use to slaughter them. May they all die in cleansing holy fire — love wins!”
