On September 20, 2025, President Donald Trump blanket pardoned all participants of the January 6 insurrection and legalized treason in the United States. When asked for an explanation at a recent press conference, Trump said, “Nuance. There’s lots of nuance. These people didn’t commit regular treason: they committed good, God-fearing, patriotic, pro-American treason. That’s not the same as bad, commie, woke treason. Not the same.”
Since the executive order was signed, statues of Proud Boys leaders have been erected in their respective home states. “I’m proud of our boys,” says North Carolina Governor Josh Stein. “Get it? Proud of our boys? Like Proud Boys? Get it?”
President Trump further defended his decision on X: “There are two sides to every story. Behind the mob storming the White House with their guns and knives is a group of American patriots who love this country. Really, it’s the thought that counts.”
Sources confirm that President Trump has future plans to arrest the authorities who protected the White House on January 6th for being “party poopers.”
