Soon after the House of Representatives voted to expel George Santos from his position, several candidates from both sides of the aisle announced their bids for Santos’ seat. On Tuesday, Seorge Gantos from the Orange party announced his candidacy. “I think I may be the most qualified candidate in the history of the world to run for office,” said Gantos. “I have the longest résumé of anyone I know, and you know what they say about the length of a man’s résumé…”

Gantos’ candidacy has garnered support from many New Yorkers, who cited their disillusionment with the two main parties as their main reason for supporting Gantos in a poll. “His party has never let me down before,” said Peorge Pantos, a constituent of New York’s 3rd District. “Plus, it’s insanely impressive that someone who was the president of the world for 60 years — while also working as Apple and Google’s CEOs — would even want to be my representative. With all that experience, the future looks bright for our district — bright like an orange!”
