After Jake Paul prevailed in his fight against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, he left the ring with a message about his next match: “No old man’s a match for me,” he said. “Don’t believe me? I challenge every terminal patient living within a hundred-mile radius of this building to a fight. I’ll beat the living shit out of each and every one of you.”

According to witnesses in the crowd, Paul continued to boast for several hours about his proficiency in committing violence against the physically disadvantaged. “It doesn’t matter if y’all want to use weapons,” he said. “In fact, I’ll give ten thousand dollars to the first person to hit me with a walker
or bedpan.”

Since then, news of his challenge has been trending on social media. While many doubt his willingness to act on his promise, others are looking forward to seeing the match live.

When asked whether he was serious about his intent to fight patients in hospice care, Paul gave a firm assent: “I don’t joke around when it comes to boxing,” he said. “To those of you thinking of taking me on, I’m gonna beat you before your terminal illness does.”
